Women's Tackle Football Team

ant to play for New York's women's football team the New York Sharks? We are holding tryouts for players to join the team for the Spring 2009 season.

The open tryout is welcome to all women, 18 years of age and older. No football experience is necessary. There is a $35 registration fee, which includes a New York Sharks t-shirt. Tryout will be held, rain or shine!

Please arrive no later than 8:45am in order to complete required tryout paperwork!

For directions to Kane Stadium:
By car: NJ Turnpike north (via EASTERN SPUR) to last exit ( Exit 17/ Secaucus and Lincoln Tunnel). Go through toll booth, stay straight ahead toward Secaucus. First light is Paterson Plank Road (Home Depot on your right). Make a left at this light, go under railroad trellis (within 100 feet) and make quick left onto Winsor Rd which leads to the stadium.
For directions to Baisley Park:
By subway: Take the E or J Train to Sutphin Blvd./Archer Ave. Transfer to Q6 bus and get off on Rockaway Blvd. and Sutphin Blvd. intersection.
By train: Take the Long Island Railroad to Jamaica Station. Transfer to Q6 bus and get off on Rockaway Blvd and Sutphin Blvd intersection.

For directions from Long Island:
Take Belt Pkwy West to the Rockaway Blvd exit. Get in right lane and make a right at the light (Rockaway Blvd). Go approximately three lights and park is on the right.
For directions from Brooklyn:
By car: Take Belt Pkwy East to the 150th St./Rockaway Blvd exit. Make a left at the light(from the off-ramp) onto 150th St. Continue to Rockaway Blvd./Sutphin Blvd. intersection. Park is in front of you.

For directions from Manhattan:
By car: Take LIE East to the Grand Central Pkwy (GCP) Eastern Long Island. Follow Grand Central Parkway to the Van Wyck Expwy (Kennedy Airport). Take Van Wyck Expwy to Rockaway Blvd exit. Make a left at the light (Rockaway Blvd). Take Rockaway Blvd approximately one mile. Park is on the left-hand side. OR
Take the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to the Grand Central Parkway and follow same directions as above.

For directions to Lincoln High School:
From Manhattan: take the Belt Parkway East Exit 7S towards Ocean Parkway. School is on the left as you get off the Belt.
From Queens and Long Island: take the Belt Parkway West Exit 7n Towards Ocean Parkway. Turn Left on Ocean parkway School on the right hand side. The school's address is: 2800 Ocean Parkway.
