The Time to be heard is NOW! AmpliFLY is an entertainment company created to promote women’s voices and has kicked off its debut with a book entitled “Black and Blue; Love, Sports and the Art of Empowerment,” by Andra Douglas.
“Black and Blue” will strike a chord with anyone who grew up before title IX but its poignancy and appeal go beyond that. Andra Douglas covers it all.

About the Author
A Native of central Florida and graduate of Florida State University and The Pratt Institute, Andra Douglas has been a National Champion athlete in rugby and women’s tackle football, a Vice President and Creative Director at Time Warner, and the founder of the Fins UP! Foundation for Female Athletics a not-for-profit organization that benefits at-risk young girls through sport (www.womensgridironfoundation.org).
She also owned the New York Sharks Women’s Pro Football Team for 19 years (www.nysharksfootball.com) and is a known artist.
She lives with her parrot, “Pie” in New York City where she spends much of her time working from her rooftop studio in Greenwich Village on her mixed media artwork (www.andradouglasart.com).
