Danielle Darby was born July 12th, 1991 in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Grahamsville, NY. She graduated from Tri-Valley Central School in Grahamsville; where she played basketball, soccer, softball, track and field. Her Junior year she placed 1st at the OCIAA Class C Championship in the Javelin Throw keeping her title the following year in 12th grade.

Participating in athletics was a big deal in the Darby household. Her older brother did track & field and football. Her younger sister followed in her footsteps playing the same sports and progressing in track and field as well. They all competed on the National level while in high school and in college. Always on a sports team since High School Danielle found out about the team online. She never played football but was always curious about it, and thought that it would be fun to tackle an opponent.

After high-school Danielle continued her education at Sullivan County Community College where she studied Sports Management: Recreation Leadership, played basketball and track, through her studies in hopes of becoming a Track and Field Coach. She is now a Coach at a charter school and after school counselor for the YMCA. In her free time she loves playing Call of Duty, listening to music, playing the piano.

As 2014 takes off Danielle is ready and excited to start off her rookie season of football with the New York Sharks!
